Bulk Container Identity


You may frequently see bulk container conveying liquid chemical through the road. You see there are some labels sticked on that container, which gives the bulk container identity.

Basic information that is applied on are MGM (maximum gross weight), TARE (empty container weight), NET (net weight of filled liquid chemical/material) and CU.CAP (cubical capacity). Bulk container is common in chemical plant operation.

Waste drums that are used for containing hazardous chemicals, are identified as hazardous waste also. Treatment of such waste drums are usually similar with the contained hazardous chemicals.

Most chemical plants will released such kind of waste drums and may vary in quantity and types.

Unloading of Nitrogen Liquid


An unloading operation of liquid nitrogen from a bulk container to liquid nitrogen tank. Liquid nitrogen temperature is about -193 degree of centigrade. This operation involves high pressure liquid and is potential to introduce accident.
Also remember, during this operation there may happen oxygen insufficiency due to nitrogen gas leakage into the air.
